Sitcoms
While reality TV rules the day, there are still a few sitcoms out there that
haven't cracked the top 20. If you think all geeks have the same personas, think
again and laugh with the boys (and the sexy girl) from The Big Bang Theory--brought
to you by the same folks from Two and A Half Men. If you like
Seinfeld, punch up Rules Of Engagement. Many of the writers who
created Seinfeld are here, giving David Spade great stuff to work with
along side Patrick Warburton (Elaine's boyfriend, Puddy, also of Seinfeld
fame). Watch Warburton deliver his deadpan zingers with a one-two punch while
the ladies in the cast get in their jabs, too. This is pedigree street-cred
that'll make you laugh.

Raphael Saadiq of Tony! Toni! Toné fame has slipped back into the '60s...and,
man, is it good. Ease on into "Big Easy" as it echoes back to a time when
original music was trailblazing pathways in many different directions. In the
same vein, there's Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings with big time nods to James
Brown and Otis Redding, who wrote Aretha Franklin's monster hit "Respect" (who's
still alive and kickin'). Then there's the actual Motown sound updated and
remixed. My fave is the Jackson Five's "I Want You Back" (the Z-Trip Remix).
Check it out. It's one trip you're gonna wanna take.

Willy Shats
All right, I admit it. I'm a William Shatner fan. He was a hero to me when I was
a wee lad watching Star Trek on TV. Back in the '70s, I actually had a
conversation with him at a Star Trek convention in front of 5,000+
people. I stood up in the crowd and he pointed to me from the stage. "Did you
ever make it with your yeoman?" I asked. "Now what kind of gentlemanly question
is that?" he replied. Then he leaned forward and said, "She was pretty nice,
though wasn't she?" I couldn't agree more as I had a big crush on her. Fast
forward to today, and Shatner has wrapped up his role as over-the-top,
self-important attorney, Denny Crane, on Boston Legal. Self-effacing, here's
what Willy Shats is up to today. It's great stuff from a showbiz vet.

Success
There are a lot of self-help books out there. Most of them are thick with good
information, but with our Internet mentality many of us tend to shy away from
something that even appears heavy--no matter how well it might serve us. That's
why the small book with the kick-butt print on the outside called It's Not
How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be is produced with the quick
minded in mind. Short paragraphs with great pics, info, and attitude, it's a
fast read you'll enjoy. A pocket bible for how you can succeed in the world.
