So many obsessions, so little time. Here's what I can't get enough of this week:

Hard Time

You can't tell from my demure exterior, but I am fanatical about prison shows. I'm not talking about those dramatic depictions of what it's supposedly like in the big house. I'm all about coming face-to-face (or rather face-to-screen) with hardened criminals who call a cold concrete cell their home. One of my favorite shows as of late is National Geographic's Hard Time. It takes a close look at the Georgia paramilitary correctional system through the eyes of officers and prisoners. Talk about a fascinating reality check. All I can say is I would not do well there.

Cadbury Mini Eggs

On a much lighter and tastier note, I cannot get enough of these highly addictive little pieces of heaven. If you haven't tried Cadbury Mini Eggs yet, you better get on it because they are only sold until Easter. Introduce your taste buds to mouthwatering chocolate covered in a scrumptious candy shell. But I warn you, you may want to ration them out. Otherwise, you may find yourself with an empty bag and a full stomach.

SmileyCentral.comLocal Vacations
My husband and I are still not ready to leave our little guy to go on a long vacation, so we decided to enjoy what our very own backyard has to offer. We're taking a few days off to explore some new restaurants, museums we always talk about but never have time to visit, and frankly just spend some much needed alone time together. Museum Guide can help you find the hidden gems in your own neighborhood.

Joel McHale

As if there weren't enough reasons to look forward to Friday night, Joel McHale ups the ante. This witty (not to mention easy on the eyes) comedian hosts one of the best television shows currently on the tube, The Soup. Somehow he manages to find the most satire-worthy clips of the week (many of which involve Tyra Banks or Willard Scott) and wraps them all up in a 30-minute show. If you are out celebrating the end of the week and aren't home to watch, don't fret. Reruns air on Saturdays and Sundays.

SmileyCentral.comWill Power
There is so much to crave out there. (Cadbury Mini Eggs being at the top of my list of course. Ooh, and red velvet cupcakes are beyond yummy.) But having had a baby more than nine months ago, I have been committed to losing those extra pounds. Although it can be really easy to buy into those crazy plans that make you take scary energy pills to lose weight, what I've learned is that all it takes is good, old fashioned will power. Eat better, exercise more, and you'll be lighter on your feet in no time. And think of the pride you'll feel after putting in all that hard work. (I'm down seven and a half pounds and counting!) That's not to say a little help isn't appreciated. Sites like CalorieKing can help you find healthier and delicious options. Your favorite restaurants are even listed in there, too.
