Why February Rocks
Still
recovering from a Valentine's Day romance hangover? Suffering from a sugar low
from all those sickeningly sweet candy hearts? Don't worry. February isn't over
yet...and this month doesn't belong to Cupid...or even that underground
meterologist known as the groundhog. There are plenty of occasions to
celebrate...all in the coming week. And we got them all covered over at
My Fun Cards, our free online
greeting card site.
Sunday, Feb.18th - for example - marks the beginning of the Year of the Pig on the Chinese calendar -- and we have a whole bunch of dazzling Chinese New Year eCards for you to send to your family and friends. Sure, they might be confused when they get a New Year's card in late February, but the Chinese characters, lanterns and dragons in these cards should set them straight.
On Monday, Feb. 19th, there are two more holidays
to celebrate. Here in the United States, you'll want to celebrate the birth of
two of our greatest leaders by sending one of our
fun Presidents Day greeting cards. Abe and George
might want to tone down the celebration this year, though, as things can get
out of hand. And if you're just feeling completely out of your mind on Monday,
don't fret. Send a
Temporary Insanity Day eCard to explain your nutty behavior.
If you're in the mood to throw a raucous party with your favorite pet on Tuesday, Feb. 20th, don't resist the urge. This year, Fat Tuesday falls on the same day as Love Your Pet Day -- and we have cards for both holidays, of course. You'll love the fun, colorful interactive Mardi Gras cards that challenge you to catch falling beads at a parade, or dress yourself up for the occasion. And our Love Your Pet Day eCard is a cute way to remind your closest pals to extend some love to their furry friends.
Finally, on Saturday, Feb. 24th, you can throw all notions of polite and mannered behavior out the window by sending a National Obnoxious Day eCard. Just make sure you prepare yourself for a less-than-polite response.
So there you have it. Six holidays over seven days...with five of them occurring in the same three-day span. February might be the shortest month, but it sure provides all of us plenty of reasons to celebrate -- and more free online greeting cards than January could ever dream of.
