One of the greatest things about working here at SmileyBuzz is hearing from you, our dear readers. We're especially pleased when you call our attention to unique or funny items in the news or blogosphere that we may have somehow missed -- because, contrary to what you may believe, we don't spend 10 hours a day surfing the web. (It's actually more like 14 hours a day, but that's really besides the point.)

This week, for example, avid SmileyBuzz reader Omar L. called our attention to a really funny blog post by Tynan, the self-proclaimed "most interesting person ever" over at Tynan...is Better Than Your Boyfriend. After a friend suggested that he check out a site which purportedly was selling pet penguins, Tynan went out and proceeded to create the ideal penguin habitat in his home by installing a 3100-gallon inflatable pool in his living room.

But Tynan's post - coupled with sites dedicated to having rats as pets, and a rather disturbing article about the shooting of a pet ostrich last November - got me thinking about the strangest and most exotic pet I've ever wanted in my house. Unfortunately, the only thing I could come up with was a pig - and that turns out to be not that unusual or exotic after all.

Admittedly, I'm probably more intrigued about the idea of having a pig around than the experience of actually having one. Just the absurdity of having a large sow running unfettered around my house, knocking over furniture and scaring away small dogs as I walked it through my neighborhood seems like quite a hoot to me. Merely anticipating the look on the faces of people who would come over to visit almost makes it worth it....but not quite.

So I'd like to hear from you, our faithful Buzz readers. What's the strangest or most exotic pet you've ever wanted -- or actually had in your household? Just click on the "Send a Comment" button in the right column, and let us know by filling out the form. We'll promise not to direct you to any bogus pet penguin sites when we share your story with our vast worldwide audience here on SmileyBuzz.
