You've heard all the hype, and clicked on every envelope, crown and tiara you've seen scattered across Zwinktopia. You've flirted with everyone hanging out in the ZSU Quad for a week, including some really scary Goth chick wearing a metal mask, desperately seeking a date. You've spent every last hard-earned Zbuck on a snazzy blue tuxedo top....and even flirted with the idea of buying a completely different hairdo at Z Avenue. And now, fellow Zwinksters, the wait is finally over. Zwinky Prom Weekend has arrived - and the land of the Zwinky will never be quite the same.

So what's in store for you in Zwinktopia over the next three days? Here's a hint: those moon and star-shaped balloons aren't just for show. They might just be the keys to your magic carpet ride this weekend. For those of you worried about transportation and showing up in grand style, a large white Hummer limo has been sighted at the Bus Stop - ready to take Zwinkies away to a magical destination, and giving hope to those of us who have spent weeks there just waiting for the stupid bus.

As for the Big Event itself, you'll find that the Zwink! nightclub has been completely transformed into not just one - but four grand ballrooms to choose from, each with a distinct musical theme. So if you get bored in one room, there's always someplace else to go. And surely, your Zwinky prom experience will not be complete until you've explored each and every corner. After all, the entire point of the prom is to see and, more importantly, to be seen. So be sure to stick around long enough to make a new friend - or two, or sixteen - while hamming it up on the dance floor.

And is that all that prom weekend is about? Well, not quite. A little birdie in the park told me that there's a secret prom party going on somewhere in Zwinktopia. But so far, I've been unable to find it. And personally, I think that stupid bird might be just pulling my chain....or I might be just hearing things. You never really know in the land of the Zwinky.

So be sure to explore, show off your cool new formalwear, play a few games with new-found friends, and above all...have fun. After all, Zwinky Prom Weekend only comes around once a year. And at the very least, it won't be nearly as bad - or awkward - as real-life prom experiences can be...and might even surpass your wildest dreams and expectations.
